A new nitida cross with shiny black culms. It is a good alternative for Phyllostachys nigra when a clumping bamboo is required. Very limited supply for the first time in august 2010. Estimated height around 2.5 - 3 meters.

This bamboo was introduced to Europe as seedlings, some forms have red culms especially on sandy soil. At least 12 numbered clones exist. Nr. 1 grows very compact and is extremely suited to small gardens. Stands a sunny spot well, with better colouration of the culms.
'Genf' is a very good selection also.
